A to Z with Natálie Taschlerová and Filip Taschler

Natálie Taschlerová and Filip Taschler started their 2025/2026 season with the silver medal at the Nepela Trophy in Bratislava and the gold at the Trophy Metropole Nice Côte D’Azur. They recently switched coaches and are now training with Maurizio Margaglio in Finland and Massimo Scali in the United States. Here are 26 questions to get to know this dynamic ice dance team representing Czechia at the 2026 Olympics!

Natálie Over the week 9-9:30, and over the weekend depends on what my plans are, but usually till midnight.

Filip: 9:30

Comfort food?

Natálie: Chia pudding and a mix of salads.

Filip: Chicken and rice

Comfort TV show/movie?

Natálie: Rapunzel (the Disney movie).

Filip: Forrest Gump

Best Competition memory?

Natálie: Fave competition memory is the Japan Worlds in 2023 when we got the standing ovation.

Filip: Saitama Worlds, standing ovation.

A Dream you have?

Natálie: My last dream was to do a photoshoot for some brand – which happened. I also dream about going back to Japan, which will happen in November. So happy!

Filip: To create new companies in the Czech Republic, sharing a new type of modern training without psychological harm. To find my real me, and bring back light and happiness.

An Embarrassing moment?

Natálie: Right now, it is very hard to remember one. I’m a funny person overall, and embarrassing myself all the time, so that everyone is already used to it, haha.

Filip: Splashing my tube full of jab on multiple travelers on the bus because it exploded by mistake 😀

Favorite Fan encounter?

Natálie: Currently, meeting all the small girls at the ice rink where I grew up. It was so sweet and heartwarming to see that someone is looking up to me and that I’m inspiring them to keep working hard and believing in what they do.

Filip: Duck with dumplings

Goal you’re working toward right now?

Natálie: My main goal now is to be healthy and happy in my life.

Filip: Psychological healing journey and bringing the real personality on the ice.

Genre of music?

Filip: LATIIIINOOOOOO!!!!

Holiday memory? 

Natálie: My favourite holiday memory is when my dad was still with us, and after the Christmas dinner we were just all watching Christmas movies, and after I talked with my dad through the whole night.

Filip: Last Christmas with my father.

Natálie: My biggest inspirations are my parents and their love they had for each other and their passion for life.

Filip: Not anymore. I used to play piano and guitar.

Dream Job as a child?

Natálie: My dream job as a child was to be like Christina Aguilera in the movie Burlesque – to dance and sing on the podium and be the main character and the DIVA OF THE SHOW.

Natálie: My favourite go-to outfit is probably sweatpants with some nice top and a cute hoodie.

Natálie: My favourite book is “Let Them Theory”. Movie recommendation is “The Notebook”.

Favorite Podcast? 

Natálie: The Mel Robbins Podcast, and some criminal ones as well, but those are in Czech.

Filip: Lip podcast.

Natálie: To just wake up another day and get to live it with your loved ones and friends.

Best Smell?

Natálie: Best smell would be when you finish baking anything that has cinnamon inside. Also, any perfume that smells like vanilla, caramel, or coconut. Very sweet ones.

Skating performance you wish you could have seen live?


Filip: I would love to see the 2010 Olympic Games, with Tessa and Scott, and also Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Also, Moulin Rouge from Tessa and Scott in 2018.

Training day essentials?

Natálie: My HUGE waterbottle, comfy hoodie to wear in the breaks, hot tea, and of course, some yummy snacks. Over the colder days, warm socks.

Filip: Skates, water, tea, matchaaaa, warm clothes

Who or what do you think is Underrated?

Natálie: I think that sometimes we all underrate our small achievements, especially if you are a professional athlete. And, us girls, we underrate our bodies daily for everything they are able to do.

Dream Vacation destination?

Natálie: Australia and the Maldives.

Your Whereabouts on a day off?

Natálie: Most likely in bed with a yummy breakfast and Netflix, later I like to take a walk or have coffee with my friends, and then prep everything for the upcoming week.

Filip: In bed.

An eXperience that changed you?

Natálie: I think it would be the loss of my father. Those moments make you realize that nothing is forever, and you have to appreciate every moment with loved ones.

Filip: All the injuries, loss of my father, and changing coaches.

A Year that you would like to visit if you had a time machine?

Natálie: Probably 2018 and 2020.

Filip: 2000

What is your Zodiac sign, and do you believe in the zodiac?

Natálie: My Zodiac sign is Sagitarius and yes, I do believe in it. Favourite ones are of course Sagitarius, Scorpio, and Leo.

Filip: I do….Sagitarius, Leo, Cancer.
